An American - Indian Marriage Contradiction

Two men, one American and an Indian were sitting in a bar drinking shot after shot.

The Indian man said to the American,"You know my parents are forcing me to get married to this so called homely girl from a village whom I haven't even met once.

We call this arranged marriage.I don't want to marry a woman whom I don't love...I told them that openly and now have a hell lot of family problems."

The American said, "Talking about love marriages... I'll tell you my story.

I married a widow whom I deeply loved and dated for 3 years.

"After a couple of years, my father fell in love with my step-daughter and so my father became my son-in-law and I became my father's father-in-law.

My daughter is my mother and my wife my grandmother.

More problems occurred when I had a son. My son is my father's brother and so he is my uncle. Situations turned worse when my father had a son. Now my father's son i.e. my brother is my grandson.

Ultimately, I have become my own grand father and I am my own grandson.

And you say you have family problems.. ? !

Justice delayed is Justice denied

The recent Bhopal gas tragedy verdict rose a few questions on the judiciary system of India.

The disaster drew the attention of the whole world 25 years back.

It has been 25 long years to arrive at the judgment. And one wont expect such a liberal punishment for the accused. The punishment is generally imposed for a major traffic accident. Are the minute traffic accidents comparable with this major disaster ??

The negligence took its toll to over 1000 and is this how the judiciary takes on it ?? If a violent terrorist who took the lives of hundreds be hanged, then, how should the people due to whose negligence be dealt with ? The tragedy affected thousands of lives and I feel this is NO JUSTICE for those souls.

Is this justice ??

And even if this is justice, should it take such a long time for the verdict ?

We have seen two major fire accidents so far in petroleum refineries , that have already choked us towards the end of the world. If you remember, leak of radio active waste was also reported recently in Noida.

Such a verdict wont help bring in more seriousness for all such industries. And we are indeed moving forward with the nuclear deal. And it is indeed worth to note that we may see another Chernobyl in India if necessary action isn’t taken against such acts of negligence.

And here’s my question for all the Hon’ble Law Men, when you are talking BIG regarding the Kasab trial for a rather anticipated verdict, for the indiscriminate killing of hundreds, what will you have to say to answer the thousands who have lost their lives for no reason ? Is it a traffic accident to rule out such a way??

I have no grudge on any, but I am really uncomfortable with the decree for the injustice done to the thousands. I think we have to lookout again to see to that appropriate action is taken against acts of negligence. The logic is simple, why should the innocent give their life due to the laxity of some other. Such a liberal action will just not widen the eyes of those who DON’T CARE !!

Are we peaceful ??

Are we really peace loving ??

Its right there in our textbooks right from our 3^rd std that India is a PEACE loving country.

“TRUE, I agree” that’s what anyone of us would obviously answer.

If you analyse India’s performance in the Olympics, You ll get it that we won medals in Shooting and wrestling. And these are quite some indications for the skill of Indians in violence. I really don’t mean to say Violence, but just check this.

Suppose, you are going along a road and you see a fight going on by the roadside, your hormones force you to go there and get to know whats going on. And the same day, there is a tree-plantation programme near the corner of your street, we hardly bother to attend to the same.

And it has to be noted that India is one of leading countries to spend BIG amounts of money on military expenditure.

The great Kali from the WWE fame is an Indian. And it is again to be noted that ratings for the WWE is quite high in India. And India is called as the “Land of Factionism”

So, are we peace-loving ?? “O Yea, We are”

STRANGE !!!

Conclusions:

The feel of peace should come right from our heart. Otherwise, this will be the situation “India is a peace loving country but Indians arent”. India is now noted for its terrorists, this wouldn’t have ever happened.
